The very first step to getting an acceptance letter from a Chinese professor is preparing a strong and professional CV. This is the foundation of your scholarship application. A well-structured CV can increase your chances of receiving an acceptance letter by 90%.
What to Include in Your CV
- Personal Information – Your full name, department, email, WeChat ID, and phone number.
- Objective – For example: “A self-motivated and responsible individual with two years of academic and research experience, seeking to develop strong research skills and contribute to my chosen field.”
- Academic Qualifications – Mention your degree (e.g., BS Computer Science, BS Engineering, BS IT, Cyber Security, Arts), your CGPA (e.g., 3.5/4.0), your university name (e.g., GC University Faisalabad, Punjab University, Lahore University), and the official website link of the university.
- Research Direction – Align your research interests with the professor you’re contacting. For example: Information Theory, Mobile Intelligent Systems, Security, Data Analysis, Cloud Computing, Big Data, or Internet of Things (IoT).
- Research and Projects – List your past projects and research work, such as Email Sending Systems, Structural Analysis, Intelligent Transport Systems, Database Systems, or Environmental Health and Safety Management Systems.
- Academic Projects – Describe projects completed during your degree: web development, library database systems, point of sale systems, lab work, etc.
- Honors and Achievements – Mention scholarships, prizes, laptop awards, certificates, or sports achievements.
- Training and Skills – Add skills such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Web Development, Teaching Assistance, or any technical training.
- Extra-Curricular Activities – Sports, reading, volunteering, or society memberships.
- Personal Data – Date of birth, nationality, CNIC number, passport number (if not available, mention that you will provide it after acceptance).
- References – Provide names and emails of at least two professors from your home university.
