Shanghai Government Scholarship (SGS) 2025 –26 Application Guide
📑 Documents Required for Applying
Applicants must prepare and submit the following documents (originals or notarized copies, written in either English or Chinese with official translation where required):
- Certificates of previous academic qualifications
- Academic transcripts
- PhD thesis abstract (for PhD applicants)
- Motivation letter
- Research interest statement and study/research proposal
- Two letters of recommendation from well-known professors (including their contact details)
- Official language test score report (HSK, TOEFL, IELTS, or other recognized proficiency tests)
- Foreigner Physical Examination Record
- Blood test report from a reputable hospital
- Original copy of a No-Criminal Record Certificate
- Other supporting documents (if applicable), such as a list of publications, academic awards, professional qualifications, or summaries of relevant experience
